Reasons and avoiding methods of rust spots on strong neodymium iron boron magnets

After a period of time, the neodymium iron boron strong magnetic strong magnet will appear milky white or other color spots on the surface, and will gradually develop into rust spots. Generally, under normal conditions of strong neodymium iron boron strong magnetic magnets, electroplated magnets will be coated to make them less prone to rust spots. The reasons for the occurrence of rust spots are generally the following reasons:

1. The neodymium iron boron strong magnetic and powerful magnets are stored in damp and cold places, where the indoor ventilation is not very good, and the temperature difference changes.

2. Before electroplating, the neodymium iron boron strong magnetic force magnet shall be coated without cleaning the stains on the surface of the magnet.

3. The electroplating time of the neodymium iron boron strong magnetic strong magnet is insufficient or there is a problem in the production process.

4. Air oxidation of the magnet caused by damage to the packaging seal of the neodymium iron boron strong magnetic strong magnet.

Qualified electroplating products of neodymium iron boron strong magnetic strong magnets, under all normal conditions, no rust spots should occur on the electroplated coating surface of the magnet. The following storage methods should be avoided for the neodymium iron boron strong magnetic strong magnet.

In areas with excessive dampness and coldness and poor indoor ventilation; when the temperature difference changes greatly, even long-term storage of products that have passed the salt spray test in harsh environments is likely to cause rust spots. When electroplating products are stored in a harsh natural environment, the dermis layer will further react with the condensed water, which will cause the bond between the dermis layer and the coating to decrease. If it is more serious, it will continue to cause partial delamination of the substrate, which of course will peel off. Electroplating products should not be placed in areas with high environmental humidity for a long time, and should be placed in shady, dry areas.
